I run Longshot or cfe pistol for all of my hand loads. When the supply chain gets better I might try some BE86 down the road but for now I’m using the stuff I already had stocked up before all the shortages.
Shadow if you look at the old load data from hodgdon for the 180 and 200gr it used to show 8.5 – 9.5 gr of longshot for the 180 and 7.0 – 8.2 GR for the 200gr bullet. If you look at the website data the 180gr is 7.0-8.2 and the 200gr is the same 7.0-8.2 I believe they screwed up when they updated the website.
Just curious how long the 200 grain XTPs are. I’ve been loading the 200 grain gold dots under eight grains of long shot at 1200 ft per second average with a 5-in barrel 1911 and 22 lb spring any higher and it was showing serious pressure issues.
Glad to see the forum is still available, I know at one point I went to check in on the forum and it was down. Did we lose all the wonderful and valuable information that was once here?
