    Thanks for the responses everybody! Finally bought the G29 but it sits in jail for 10 days in the Peoples Republic of Commiefornia. Will also be using Longshot powder.

    Forgot to add, interesting tidbit you mentioned on the Lee FCD! Thinking back, I do remember mine doing exactly they in my 45ACP. Although in my case it’s helpful as my 45acp mold sometimes produces an oversized round of .454” of course I PC than size through the bullets back to .452”

    I could load a dummy round using my Lee set, pull the bullet after it’s “complete” and see if the FCD did indeed shrink its total caliber.

    I’m using a Lee carbide set.

    I normally use a Lyman M die for flaring the cases on cast bullets. What I meant was I will seat the bullet on the flared case and not crimp (or very little) until I get the firearm. 1.25” is the proper COL for this bullet?

    Thanks! I’ll do an initial crimp now at the max but will crimp tighter (if needed) once I have the barrel.
