      Does this work for the Gen 5 G20? I have a shitload of G3 mags that are grandfathered in a neutered state (WA) and I would love to purchase the Gen5 G20, but only if my old mags will work.

      Good morning, thanks for reaching out the magazines for generation 3 will fit with generation 5 and vice versa.

      They will work as long as you don’t switch the mag release to left handed.

      Please let us know how your experience goes using Gen3 mags in a Gen5 G20 I am seriously interested in knowing.
      I have been reluctant to buy previous Gen mags because of the differences/improvements made to Gen5 magazines.
      I know that the follower is different, and the base plate is larger- I don’t know if they are sprung any different or not.

      I know Gen 2 NFML (u-notch) works in 5th gen and 5th gen G20 mag works fine in my 3rd gen G29 and everything in between.

      It was the 4th generation that added the ambi magazine release cuts. Now I have to decide if I want to swap out dozens of NIB 4th gen for the newer style, keep some of those and get new ones, or what.
