Just using say 165 gr gold dots, is there a low flash powder that will pick up any of the velocity lost by a 3.8 inch barrel? I never seem to be able to find the time to play with loads anymore, but it seemed to me a person should be able to tailor a load that would gain some of what you loose with a short barrel.
