Eh. I've owned many 10mm pistols over the years, including 3 out of the 4 they tested.

Not only is the Witness Elite Stock 2 the superior of that bunch, it is by far the best 10mm handgun I've ever owned. It makes me want to sell all of my guns and load my safe with Witness Stock Pistols.

Almost 300lbs boar...

Underwood 200gr XTP JHP...  25 to 30 yards, 2" below the left ear.  Worked like a charm; drt and a satisfying end to a hellacious fracas.
10mm Hunting / Hard Cast vs JHP for hogs

I'm considering hunting some hogs with a 10mm handgun, I've done a search and see a lot of people are using JHP, but are hunting deer. I'm just wondering what is the consensus between using hard cast vs JHP for hogs. I'm thinking hard cast with it's penetration is the way to go, but I'd like to hear what people with real experience have to say on the matter.

Following. I’d like to have a chest rig for my G20 long slide with Suppressor sights, RMR and TLR-1 installed.

Reloading 10mm ammo / Re: 180 grain Longshot loads

I loaded both Xtreme 180gr RNFP and HP bullets as a way to shoot a little less expensive bullets than my normal Hornady XTP and HAP.
I did 8.8 grns and 1.273 for the RNFP and 8.9
grns and 1.1250 for the HP.

I have not had the accuracy of the Hornady loads with either of these bullets. I did not work hard at making them more accurate by adjusting OAL or powder charge like I would do if I really wanted to make these work.

I had 250 of each bullet and I use them for walking in the woods and shooting stumps or letting friends shoot my gun.

I am going to stay with the Hornadys.

You may have better luck if you experiment a little more.

I got my GS holster and it is very well made.

There is a fitment problem due to the suppressor height front sight I have on my G40 which enables me to co-witness with my Red Dot. The sight puts down pressure on the gun which makes the light not to slide into it's designated spot in the holster.

GS has been great to work with and we have had several communications. He wants to give me the holster free since I have had to send one back and wait while they get a new tool for the holster but I told them it was not necessary.

I hope to the have the holster before too long.

I once did something similar, I put a Colt Commander slide on a Colt Officer's Model frame, and then sold the remaining short officer's slide with the full length Commander frame to a friend that wanted that combination for some reason.

The genius carried it in a horizontal shoulder holster tucked under his arm!
Factory 10mm ammo / JAG head stamp case failures...
« Last post by Forrest on January 13, 2018, 05:10:00 PM »
Shot some Jag headstamp 180 FMJ today in my 29SF and experienced several split cases on what I believe to be new ammunition. That really upset me as I was hoping to use the once fired brass. I don't think I will be reloading this batch of brass. There's no use in tempting fate after a few split cases as new. I don't trust it now.
My hot reloads went without issue save two light strikes. Apparently the Glock doesn't like CCI magnum primers. I could put the heavier striker springs in, but they will not be getting a steady diet of this. The second strike did not work, but the Delta was happy to come out and eat the leftovers. I was struck by the marked increase in energy the loads were exhibiting on target with the Delta's slightly longer barrel. Full spins of the plate instead of a heavy rock. The Glock is not as pleasant to shoot as the DE. There is a whippy shock to the recoil impulse which I find happily absent in the 1911.
