Wow, sorry you had all those problems. I had the mag drop issue and that is cured now. It did cost a trip to the gunsmith but it was worth it. Never had the dent in the barrel or the sights issue so I can't help you there. I'm a big fan, there are a lot of benefits to it as well, reduced recoil and the brass is much closer to you.

I am a glutton for punishment, bought one in December. It still had the mag release problems. Even SIG fmj would dump the mags occasionally. I have my doubts in can be fixed due to the centered mag catch cutout in the mags. Wish I could find a picture of the official fix. The gunsmith I emailed wouldn't say anything other than it wasn't just a stiffer spring.

Two other issues. The gun also shoots low and way left no matter the shooter. I modified and installed a HiViz CZ 75 front fiber sight which helped the elevation. The other problem involved the slide hanging up when returning to battery. Discovered a dent in the cam cut on the barrel that was preventing the slide from fully returning. Pretty sure it was there when I bought it since racking the slide never felt smooth.  A little time with some 600 grit sandpaper seems to have fixed the slide rtb issue. Couldn't get warranty to swap out the barrel, they wanted to see the whole gun. Problem with the warranty is you have to pay shipping to one of their gunsmiths so factor that in. For me it's close to $70 to get Fedex to ship a firearm.

Unless you are a collector I'd pass.

Thank you for the info.. Think I will wait awhile and see if things change.

Hi have the Dawson on mine.    Second the advice about the loctite.   With that on there, there has been no play at all with the front sight.

Wilson makes a flat wire 25lb officers spring and Wolff has a 25lb officers spring. I have one of each ordered.

Factory 10mm ammo / Re: JAG head stamp case failures...

Sorry I seem to be at a loss for the box. It may have gotten beaten up and I trashed it. The rounds were held in black plastic caliber specific tray. Found a picture on the web... Precision One. That's the stuff. Some of my cases are tarnished a bit but dang.
I measured two cases that had split and found .432-.435 at the area of splitting. Some of the cases have fingerprints and a decent amount of tarnish. This was range ammo from some indoor range.

ETA
I just fired some 17 rounds of that ammo in night practice with a lone Wolf extended barrel and found no splits. Go figure?

10mm Hunting / Re: Hard Cast vs JHP for hogs

As with any hunting situation...bullet placement is the absolute key factor first and far most!  Bullet type or construction is the second most factor...  Non expanding bullets from 10mm 0.400" where as expanding types could make 0.700" dia.

As with any game animal what the bullet encounters as it hits it's mark becomes the key to incapacitation time frames.  Central Nervous System, circulatory disruption for fast blood loss, broken or busted bones can limit mobility but can make the bullet expand more or stop penetration.

Choose wisely, become proficiently accurate with your choices...
