I’ve been thinking about reloading some Lehigh 115gr Xtreme Defense bullets, for 10mm. For those who have reloaded this bullet, and tried different powders, what did you like best?

I’ve always used heavier bullets for 10mm, and have used Blue Dot, BE86, AA#9, and N105. I noticed that the pull downs show Underwood uses Ramshot Silhouette, and it is also the fastest MV shown by Lehigh’s reloading data. I’ve never used that powder, so thought I’d ask before buying something new, that I might not use for anything else.

BE-86 might get you up there but don’t have enough info to support that to go higher but I think the data might be a little low on that powder.

Thanks for the input. I was surprised by the Reload data you showed. It didn’t match what I looked at. After looking closer, it appears 09400115SP was replaced by 09400115SPFC, and they changed the reloading data for the new bullet. The new bullet is .050″ shorter, and they reduced the COL by .010″.

      Hi Jwlaxton

I have worked up loads for 10mm Glock mos-40 6.5 in barrel aftermarket wolf barrel and a Banshee mk10, 8.5″ barrel.

For Lehigh 115gr over 13.5 gr of No. 7. The manufacturer number has changed and I believe Lehigh shorten the bullet, thus the charge of No7 changed. The load was very accurate, easy to shoot, low recoil and no signs of high pressure.

The other load using Hornady xtp 155gr over 10gr of No 5. Recoil was mild, and accurate, no visual sign of pressure.

I’m replacing a Chrono and want to work up a load for the Lehigh 115gr using No. 5
