I have purchased guns from this place before. They are not a scam.

Lone Wolf has a few conversion barrels for Glock 10 and Glock 29 pistols for $75. Limited supply. They also have a few of the same barrels coated for $85. Free shipping on orders over $25.

6 Months ago I bought an Alpha Wolf 6" 10mm barrel from Lone Wolf. I paid the extra $30 for the Alpha Wolf barrel because I thought it would be better than their standard older style barrel. After putting several 100 rounds through it, I came to the optinion that the (my) Alpha Wolf barrel is a piece of junk. My shorter stock G20 barrel shoots tighter groups.

PSA has HSM 10mm ammo on sale for $15 box.

It is new production, but it is weak (~990 fps)

What (average) accuracy are you getting from your 10mm handgun?

I just want to get a reference as to how well I and my guns are shooting compared to other people.

General Discussion / .40 S&W Deep Throat
« on: February 15, 2017, 07:54:54 PM »

I came up with another new cartridge. I call it the 40 Deep Throat  ;D ;D.

I noticed my Lone Wolf 40S&W conversion barrel for my Glock 20 has a deep throat which allows the bullet to stick out further than a standard 40S&W and still chamber. I do not know if Lone Wolf made it that way on purpose, or if it is a flaw, but I like it. I can shoot 10mm loads using 40S&W brass. That is very nice for the range. I won't have to scrounge for my 10mm brass. I can just pick up any 1x fired 40S&W brass laying around.

I did a test using Horndy 180gr JHP (XTP) bullets in both a 10mm case and a 40S&W case using the same powder type, charge weight, and overall length. I did not have a chronograph, so I can't compare the velocity of both loads. Precision (group size) was slightly better using the stock Glock 20 barrel and 10mm brass, but if you wanted to shoot your G20 in competition, and not have to worry about picking up your expensive brass, the LW 40S&W conversion barrel and 40S&W brass would be close enough in performance not to make a big difference. The LW barrel was the older stainless barrel, and not the newer Alpha Wolf line. I have no idea if the Alpha Wolf 40S&W conversion barrel has a deep throat.

Off topic area / Now listen very, very closely

A male patient is lying in bed in the hospital, wearing an oxygen
mask over his mouth and nose. A young student nurse appears and gives him a partial sponge bath.

"Nurse,"' he mumbles from behind the mask, "are my testicles black?"

Embarrassed, the young nurse replies, "I don't know, Sir. I'm only here to wash your upper body and feet."

He struggles to ask again, "Nurse, please check for me. Are my testicles black?”

Concerned that he might elevate his blood pressure and heart rate from worrying about his testicles, she overcomes her embarrassment and pulls back the covers.
She raises his gown, holds his manhood in one hand and his testicles gently in the other.

She looks very closely and says, "There's nothing wrong with them, Sir. They look fine."

The man slowly pulls off his oxygen mask, smiles at her, and says very slowly, "Thank you very much. That was wonderful. Now listen very, very closely:

Are - my - test - results - back?"

Wildcats / 357 SIG Long Neck
« on: January 13, 2017, 09:27:32 AM »
I am working on a long neck 357 SIG cartridge. It has the same dimensions as the regular 357 SIG from the taper/bevel to the base, but has a longer neck so I can use cast bullets with wax/lube rings. It uses standard 10mm brass, and will have an overall length of ~1.260" (same as 45ACP and 10mm).

Using Quickloads software it looks like I can get the same velocity from my Glock 20 using a 158gr lead bullet in this 357 SLN cartridge as a I can with a 4" 357 Magnum revolver with the same bullet in a 357 Magnum cartridge.

Here is a picture of a mock-up using an old (damaged) 10mm case. It isn't perfect. I just wanted to see what it looked like. I have to machine my 357 SIG sizing die and crimper to make it work, as well as rechamber my Lone Wolf G20 barrel.

Midway has some 180 grain 10mm JHP bullets for $11.24 per 100. I think they are Hornady HAP bullets. They are not a true hollow point, like their XTP bullets, but they are balanced the same as their XTP bullets, so practicing is cheaper than using real defense loads.

I was wondering how well the Berry's 155gr Hollow Base Round Nose bullets worked at 10mm velocities?

Their website says max velocity is 1250. I think a 10mm (Glock 20) will push them faster than that: Maybe 1400 fps.

How is accuracy and group size with the hollow base round nose bullets, and how is long distance performance?

I might have to go to the .165 gr Hollow Base Flat Point-Thick Plate in the 10mm

No Longer Available

Buy a Lone Wolf slide and get a free Lone Wolf barrel. The only bad thing is that they don't have 6" barrels listed for their 6" long slides, so you will get a shorter barrel if you want a long slide. They still have plenty of G20 and G21 slides. The smaller frame slides are all sold out. If you want to convert your G20 to a G21, this is a good opportunity.

I got a Solid G20 Long Slide with a threaded tactical length (5") barrel (that I will most likely sell so I can buy a 6" barrel), and a Solid G21 Long Slide with a 9" 45ACP barrel (I figure I can always cut it down to 6" latter).

P.S. The slides are bare. You will either need to buy the internal parts kits (~$100+), or remove the parts from your slide and put them in the Lone Wolf slide.

Massachusetts attorney general banned look-a-like assault [sic] weapons today.

She was probably mad that Trump got the Republican nomination, and decided to lash out against gun owners.
