I see their long-slide 1911s are competitive with the Turkish guns price-wise, but made for IJ by SAM in the Philippines. Does nayone have experience with any of them?

Have to say that poking around on the 1911 forums I have seen some posts about non-existent customer service, which is no darned bueno.

Overall I think the gun itself will be fine. But CS may be a problem if you need it.

You don’t mention which turkish guns, but the only two I am aware of making splashes now are Tisas and Girsan. And Tisas doesn’t have a long-slide 10mm I don’t think.

Girsan and IJ are gonna be a wash in my mind. Both have importers with questionable CS reputations. Both have spotty reviews.

Sql: I had a Tisas D-10, and once broken in it was fine. The Girsan long slide is attractive, but I have read of some real issues with them.
In a shorter-barreled 10, I am also looking again at the Springfield XDM 4.5.
