Trumps economic plan craters the economy.
« on: June 20, 2016, 10:45:54 AM »
Donald Trump’s economic proposals would isolate the United States, hurt its economic growth, increase the federal deficit and cost millions of American jobs, according to new analysis.

The grim findings from Moody’s Analytics state that the nation’s wealthiest would benefit the most from the presumptive GOP presidential nominee's proposals, while middle- and lower-class Americans would be hurt the most.

http://thehill.com/policy/finance/284095-study-economy-would-be-significantly-weaker-under-trump

“The economy will be significantly weaker if Mr. Trump’s economic proposals are adopted. Under the scenario in which all his stated policies become law in the manner proposed, the economy suffers a lengthy recession and is smaller at the end of his four-year term than when he took office,” the report said.
“By the end of his presidency, there are close to 3.5 million fewer jobs and the unemployment rate rises to as high as 7%, compared with below 5% today. During Mr. Trump’s presidency, the average American household’s after-inflation income will stagnate, and stock prices and real house values will decline.”

Hmmm lets see, go back to the GOP policies that led the world into a Great Recession 8 years ago or stick to slow and steady.

Hmmmmmmmm

Moody's is not grasping at straws.

Let me ask you this blaster, what do you call No Child Left Behind, Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drugs, SCHIP and Nation Building???????

SOCIALISM courtesy of the Republican Party.

So what's the answer, elect Hillary and watch out taxes go up and up, and our freedoms slowly erode? First of all, nobody's budget plan gets through Congress unchanged. So Trump can say whatever he likes, but good luck getting anything passed.

On the other hand, dummycrats love to fund more and more government cheese plans with no money in the coffers. Then they end up doing stuff like "borrowing" from Social Security, with no actual plans to ever pay it back. Then cry but Social Security is running out of money, we need to raise taxes for it and cut more benefits. Who gets hurt? Not the rich people, they don't depend on social security when they retire. It's the regular Joes working stiffs that get pronged.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?

Who created more Socialist programs?

Bush or Obama? Hint the white guy.

Who left a balanced budget and who blew up the economy? Hint R

Who creates more jobs? Democrats or Republicans? Hint D

Obama never raised taxes and in fact he made tax cuts for those making under $200,000 permanent, making Obama one of the biggest tax cutters in US history.

Republicans are pathetic when it comes to economics, and thats a fact.

Trump was the chairman of Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts in Atlantic City from 1995 to 2009, his only outing as the head of a major public company. During that time, the company lost more than $1 billion, financial records show. He also was chief executive from 2000 to 2005, during which time share prices plunged from a high of $35 to as low as 17 cents.

Trump may have helmed the company bearing his name to penny-stock status, but he himself did exceedingly well. He got $44 million in salary. He charged the company additional "fees" for his services. The company paid for the $2 million care and feeding of his personal jet, and so on, and so on.

In this deal alone, Trump hooked the taxpayer for $1 billion while he made $44 million.

And some think Trump is a economic guru who will look out for the little guy.

Since he took office, Obama has increased the federal deficit by more ($10 Trillion) than ALL other Presidents combined in the history of this country.
More people are on government assistance programs (47 Million) than at any time in our history.

There are more people not working now, than at any time in our history. The numbers only show the unemployed on benefits, not the unemployed who haven't bothered to collect unemployment benefits.

Major cities in this country that have huge poverty/crime problems (Detroit, Chicago, Philly, Boston, etc., etc.,)
all have one thing in common- These cities' economies were/are being, run into the ground by democrats whose only
interest is to make people as helpless as possible, and then offer 'the government' as their saviour.

Obama has opened the floodgates to a wave of immigration ( illegal immigrants from the south, who do nothing but burden an already fragile economy and infrastructure), and soon, hundreds of thousands of unvetted Muslims, some of whom are very likely to be radicalized, and who want nothing more than to kill Americans, and our way of life.

To me, it sounds like Democrats, and especially Obama, would like nothing better than to turn
America into another third world country like Venezuela.

Really? I'm supposed to take those numbers as absolute? From a site which was founded by, and is run by, what have got to be the most arrogant, whiney, liberal crybabies that I have ever seen.
Talk about a website with an agenda! Did you even look at the full website? I did. All I saw was a bunch of pro government, anti-gun, pro union, capitalism-hating, global warming alarmists, trying to jam their leftist agenda down my throat.
BTW, I saw  no mention of the Clinton deficit contributions, or Carter, or LBJ. And what about FDR, the president who gave us the greatest ponzi scheme ever, Social Security.

Clinton balanced the budget and if his tax rates were left alone the country would have been debt free in 2012.

Bush said his tax cuts would have us debt free in 2007.

How that turn out?

Republicans have failed us in protecting Family Values and now become the pro gay party.

Republicans have failed us in Foreign Policy.

Republicans have failed us in economics.

Wolfie, your posts are comical.
What is your agenda?
Since this forum is a political discussion forum then everything said is in the right place.
However, you continually cherry pick certain "facts" and twist them to fit your agenda.
Just like every politician out there.
You should consider running for office.
Everything that you spew is slanted.
Come on, tell us about some of the bad things that have come out of the D side of government.
According to you, the Rs either are doing it or are responsible for it from their previous regime.
Give me a break.
So, carry on.
This is, after all, a political discussion forum.
Now I can visit here and get my laughs for the day from you,
I don't need the MSM or Obama or even Hillary to provide me with lies, half-truths and double talk.
You have it all covered right here.
Thank you.

So, let's talk about Trump's mismanagement of his casino.

From 95-2009, how many people were employed at his casino?
How much payroll did these tens of thousands of people make that they then turned around and pumped it into the economy?
How much did Trump pay in payroll taxes, Social Security and Medicare dollars? How much did Trump send to the government?
How much unemployment insurance premiums did Trump pay into the coffer?
How much did Trump pay towards health insurance for these workers?
Please, tell me how providing jobs for tens of thousands of people for 14 years is as bad as you are making it out to be?
I see, he cost the taxpayers billions while he paid himself millions.
No other company in this country does that.
I see.
You are so lobsided that it shows your true colors.
So, keep posting.
I need the laughs.
Then go over to the Bloomberg boards and crow how you put the gun crowd in their place.
LOLOL.
Good one.

That isn't what he said, and it isn't what was meant (which was simply benign). Truth and context matters. Although, you may be partially correct, in that Trump will take a hit over it. Only because there are enough lesser informed voters sharing your MSM and Kool-Aid cocktail.

Obama has been blaming Bush since year one. How mnay years does HE get to "Fix" Bush mistakes?

It's sort of like Hillary, who instead of taking blame for her security violations she she be going to prison for instead of running for president, says it is all just a smear campaign by "The vast right wing conspiracy". Democrats are sure good at trying to cast the blame elsewhere and never owning up to THEIR screwups.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?
