Hey. I’m moving to 10mm for a few non-political reasons.
I’m an old school 1990s USPSA 1911 competitor.
So I have a boring 9 as an EDC, and an equally inexpensive and boring “kit” of a 10mm pistol and carbine that live in my 4×4 (when in the woods).
But I’m looking for something between my 9mm compact andmy Ronin.
My main criteria are SHORT grips (like 1911 officer short) and LONG barrels. I used to build 4.25″ guns on Officer’s model lowers) until they were made commercially.
What is the optimal blend of BBL (4.25 + threads (5″ threaded?) And clothing friendly “officer’s” size grip.
Obviously I want more than 8 if I can get it, but I the end I need a long barrel and short grip.
Ideas?
