Hello everyone. I am Gerry from Miami (as you can see from my board name). I am a Materials Science Engineer but have been working as a Network Design Engineer for a big Telecom company for the past 7 years. Ordered my first G29SF from Buds this past Saturday and I should have it by this coming Thursday. Also ordered a box of each:

1) 10mm Auto 165 Grain Gold Dot Jacketed Hollow Point
2) 10mm Auto 180 Grain Gold Dot Jacketed Hollow Point
3) 10mm Auto 200 Grain XTP Jacketed Hollow Point

The idea is to test these loads to see which gives me the best result. Can wait to get my hands on my new 29SF and ammo. I have been reading the The 10 Ring for a while by the way. I registered there but never got the e-mail to activate my account  :-[. Since I see a lot of the guys from that forum here, I am really glad to part of this community and look forward to learning from all of you guys!!!!!

Congratulations on the new pistol Gerry! You will love the 10mm. The 10 Ring is a great forum. I have been enjoying the conversations there for a few years.

Might I suggest a 4th item on the shopping list:

4) Reloading setup.

Reloading and the 10mm auto go together like beer and burgers.  :P

The break-even on do-it-yourself ammo is quick for 10mm.

Even faster is you shoot cast, and faster still if you cast your own!

I'm a long time 10mm fan having had an S&W 10xx series pistol back when they were new.  I now have a Glock 20 & 29 as well as a Delta Elite.  I'm lusting for a Wilson Combat in 10mm.  I'm a retired PA State Trooper, firearms instructor and FFL.  One of the guys on PAFOA posted a link, so here I am.  Looking forward to the 10mm heavy content.

Thank you Tarterhead for the suggestion. I have been thinking and reading about it for a while and I will get it going sooner than later  ;D  ;D. My 29SF was delivered today to my FFL. I will be stopping by tomorrow to get it. I will post some pictures when I get home later on tomorrow.  8)  8)!!!

Hello all.

New member from just north of Philly.

I've been a 10mm fan since I first started shooting around 1994. A public range near me had a Delta Elite as a rental gun and it was love from the first shot.

I'm now the proud owner of four 10mm's. My first was a used Delta Elite. Next was a Glock 29 and then a Glock 20. Just recently I picked up an S&W 1006.

Welcome Karys.  Lets see, SA auto, DA auto and striker fired tupperware.  You definitely qualify for the addict club!

I found out about this site through Calguns. I'm on there with the same username. I see a couple of CGN members on here as well. Just getting started in the 10mm world.
