Powder Description/Positive ID/Type/Charge Win Action Pistol (WAP) Weight: 6.2 grains
Similar to Silhouette (very fine flatten ball)

The black appearance was due to the oxidized copper jacket. This Lubalox coating was to protect the barrel rifling
Winchester discontinued the Black Talon line completely in 2000. The “Ranger SXT” ammunition sold later by Winchester is very similar to the Black Talon though without the black Lubalox coating on the bullet. Among shooters, a running joke is that SXT stands for “Same eXact Thing”, though the official branding is “Supreme eXpansion Technology”

Thanks Wade, I had several boxes of the bonded Winchester Defender 180gr 10mm on hand, and did some more reliably testing out of the P220 Elite yesterday. I believe Winchester is listing them at 1,225 fps, which actually feels more like Underwood’s 180gr XTP clocking in around 1,300. I will say, the 180gr Defender is not only very accurate out of the P220, but it’s also a very fun rd to shoot.
