That's what I have is a GP100. I have shot some nasty stuff through it and it just keeps chugging. Part of why I went Redhawk when it was .44 time.

Yeah, Rugers are underrated by many. Many of them are a lot of gun for the price.

I'm on my second GP-100, traded the first one away and immediately regretted it.  My current one is a 4", the old one was a 6, but with half-lug vs full lug they feel the same, with one major difference.  Of all the Rugers I've owned (6 or 7 at least) this GP-100 has the best trigger I've ever pulled on a Ruger, and I've subjected it to loads I would never put in a Smith.  I wore out a S&W 686 in a couple years, this GP will easily outlast me AND my kids.  What a tank.  I've had Redhawks, Security Sixes, and SP-101's, and this one beats them all.  If they made it in 10mm/40 I'd buy two, just to let one cool down while I shot the other one.

Back to the forensic powder studies, I think a "% of certainty" would be a good idea as well, there are SO many powders that look alike that it's nearly impossible to say for sure what a powder is unless it's got blue flakes in it, or something else that gives it away.  Of course, anyone who uses the data from the breakdown without checking it against several other sources is a nincompoop anyway.......... ::)

I have done zero trigger work or any work for that matter and the trigger pull in SA is 4.5lbs.

Well today I added the data fro the 158 & 125 Double Tap Test...
158 grain Gold Dot Tested January 27th 2013 Velocity Bad reading as tested from the Smith & Wesson Mod 19 6" BBL, primer slightly flattened Case expanded 0.3840"

125 grain Gold Dot Tested Tested January 27th 2013 Velocity Bad reading as tested from the Smith & Wesson Mod 19 6" BBL, primer slightly flattened Case expanded 0.3830"

Although the velocity data was lost, SORRY!  I'll try and duplicate these in the near future!
