I like Sigs (like them better a while back before they started to cut corners).

OK, I give: What's the price point?  From Sig it wouldn't surprise me if it is north of $1,200-$1,400??

Im preparing for as much as $1700. I figure a more common 220 is 850-900 and they are making this a special edition, so there is some extra for that. Then they are making a match elite which will command more. Im hoping for nothing more than 1200 but planning for 1700.

EDIT: Just stumbled on this.

I guess I won't be getting one!

You can buy 2 or 3 (insert options) of other 10mm platforms out there for that cost. I also think the bore axis is pretty high and that will make it harder to shoot accurately.

I guess next up is the new GrandPower 10mm when it's out.

1700.00,no way. I think the Sig will be a robust platform and serve well as a 10mm. I have well over 2000 rounds thru my 220 in .45, not one hiccup at all.

If I'm any judge of SIG's pricing, I'm thinking somewhere between $950-$1,000.  I've seen P226 Navy's going for a grand, and under.   Also, M11-A1's for ca. $950 USD.  I think, a lot of 10mm shooters are 'spoiled' by the prices of Glocks, Rock Island Armory, and EAA.  Yet, will not hesitate to drop a grand on a high-end 1911.  It 'boils-down' to what your willing to pay, and how bad do you want, or need it!

true, true, all I own are Glocks, 1) because they are easy and inexpensive 2) reliable and lastly because they are about all I can afford,  NIB

At $1000 I'm saving my pennies for the Sig. At 1700 plus I'm taking a pass.
I'm looking for the SAO to give my witness limited a run. Not looking for another duty gun.

I am seeing more and more links to Sig V-crown ammo in 10mm. Im hoping that this is a sign this is coming along nicely. I am getting really twitchy to get a sig. I was considering it a while back but the lack of 10mm pushed me away from it and I couldn't convince myself to get another 45.

I even have a few guns swirled away in the safe that I would be willing to sacrifice should I be a bit short on the total when the time comes.

Same here. Thinking my AK and shotgun might help fund this. :D

The reason I do NOT own any Glocks
The grips are too thick for my short fat fingered hands
The grip angle just feels unnatural to me.
I don't like plastic guns

I mean it's all just personal feelings. If they feel good in your hands, good for you. But I did this once. I took a Glock, and pointed it without aiming at a target. I locked my arm, then peered down the sights. I was holding it way too high. I do the same thing with a 1911. Bingo, sight aligned right with the bullseye. A 1911 just feels way more natural to me, and I would trust one a lot more in any panic SHTF situation.

Once again, you don't have this problem, Glock is a good deal for you.
Some people think I'm paranoid because I have so many guns. With all my guns, what do I have to be paranoid about?
