Two words:  Scope Mounts.

The SRH has integral scope mounts in the frame.  Just add rings for about $30 and you are GTG with a scope.

This is kinda an open field for Ruger to market.  The 10mm has hunting potential, but in many states you can't hunt most game with a semi-auto.  Or, more specically, they have capacity restrictions and barrel length minimums that make it hard.

The SRH is a well accepted hunting revolver.  I would love to see a GP100 sized gun as well, but this actually does make sense.

Skip the $30, scope rings are included.

I thought they were, but couldn't find them mentioned in my 3 second skim of the page.

I mused about Ruger coming-out with a 10mm revolver a couple years ago.  I thought for sure, it would be the basic Redhawk, or GP-100.  Anything that helps mainstream the 10mm is all right with me though.  The more 10mm's the better.  I'd give Ruger a chance, to see what else they come-out with in the near-future.

I gotta agree.  GP100 and I would buy.  SRH, not so much.

They did just announce a SP101 in 9mm, so lets hope they have some more fun in the pipeline!

Clement’s website says that GP-100 conversions aren’t for steady use with max loads.  Ruger would probably have to re-engineer it into a GP-102 or 3.

I’d buy a Toklat sized SRH if they offered it but a 6.5” SRH is a honking big gun to only have a 1 CM bore.

They started shipping and Davidsons had 12 of them as of yesterday.

With Rugers track record of announcing and taking months to ship I spent my allowance ona gen 2 Kriss Vector Carbine.  :o

I would rather a GP100 or Redhawk, I would even get a SP101 in 10mm. but,
I can't wait to see the "Ruger Only" 10mm reload information!!

I’d like to see a Bisley hunter Super Blackhawk in 10mm. Headspace on the case mouth, no need for moon clips. Unfluted cylinder. 7.5” barrel.

My LGS got one in stock today and gave me a call to come have a look. I'd forgotten just how big the SRH is and honestly couldn't bring myself to buy it. The owner, also a 10mm fan, said he was going to pass on it as well unless one comes in used.

I'd love to see a GP-100 or even a Super Blackhawk (Bisley please) convertible come out next.

I love the 10mm auto and just not interstested in a 10mm revolver.
